Q: What made you want to create a webcomic?
A: I've been writing about a fantasy world since I was very young, but about two years ago I had the idea for a redemption
story that kept coming back to me. It's been stewing in my brain ever since, and I've found ways to tie it into the lore
I've been writing for my whole life. Since I graduated from college, I figured it was time to stop procrastinating and actually
get this story out there.
Q: Do you have a script for your comic?
A: Yes, I do. Having a script helps me with pacing and planning pages.
Q: How do you make your pages?
A: I start with thumbnails and gesture drawings. From the thumbnails I create, I use Photoshop CS2 and my Wacom Cintiq to
go over the lines.
Q: Some of your pages are black and white. This upsets me. What gives?
A: I started the comic thinking that it wouldn't need color, and I was sorely mistaken. Since then, I've been going back and adding color. The rest of the comic will be in full color as well.
Q: How long will the comic be?
A: I estimate at least 10 to 15 chapters to accomplish everything.
Q: Who made your website?
A: I designed the layout, however my brilliantly skilled friend, Jake, is a professional web designer who coded this site
for me. His website is here and you should definitely check it out.
Q: Do you have help on the story?
A: Yes. While the world, original story and characters are my creations, this thing would have never gotten off the ground
if it hadn't been for my friend, Julian. He's a very talented writer, and he has been my story advisor for this whole thing.
I bounce new plot ideas off of him, and he helps me decide which direction would be best.
Q: Will you exchange links with me?
A: In truth, I tend to link to comics and artists who I've followed for years. While I can't guarantee that I'll be able to
link to everyone, please do feel free to send me your link; I love to look at new art and stories and may end up linking to you =)
Q: Do you take commmissions?
A: Unfortunately not, I'm sorry. Between my real job, the comic and my 3D demo reel I'm working on, I need to sleep at some
point =P
Q: Do you accept Art Trades?
A: Perhaps, if I have time! If you've got something in mind, please e-mail me or Note me on DeviantArt.
Q: What is your advice for someone who is just starting a webcomic?
A: I have no idea, because right now I am that 'someone', haha! I'll letcha know when I figure it out ;P
